Sugar, Sugar...

So after a summer of bridging...sometimes it is hard to give it up.  Good news NH, a new bridge was born September 15, 2013.  The Sugar River Bridge opened in Sunapee on September 15, 2013.  Natalie and I felt it was our duty to help welcome it to the world.  On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we headed north.

We love an informative bulletin board about the area.  This bridge was off to a great story!

It is important to take care of your lakes and your wildlife...

They had a cute little visitor center club house.  Unfortunately, it was closed.

Natalie and I would love to make this our retirement job. We would like to sit at this desk...Planning now is important.

There were no lighthouses in sight, just on the shutters.  Someday I will attack the New England lighthouses.  But real ones, not the ones on shutters.

Welcome to the world, Sugar River Bridge!

Oh look, a blogger hanging out by the river.

So cute!

The first signs of fall are around us.

I felt a connection to this rock at the time, although I can't remember why it was so important now...

We are about to enter the new footbridge!

Natalie on the bridge.

Relaxing on the bridge.

Such a sweet view of the Sugar River Bridge!

Dam!  It's a beautiful day!

We didn't order a stepping stone.  We did read one that said, "Walk this Way. -ST"  It wasn't until we were driving back home that we realized Steven Tyler lives in Sunapee and loves supporting a beautiful  covered bridge!

Mum's the word at the Sugar River Covered Bridge.

If you look carefully, you can see a senior photo being taken.

Say Sugar!

Want to learn more about this bridge?!?!  It has it's own blog!  Check it out!

It's great to see a town jump in and support covered bridges.  Keep up the good fight Sunapee!
