What's up, Dover?

Cocheco (D)

Ellen and I decided to hit number 45 the Sunday before the final trip.   We had read that the Cocheco Bridge was part of the walking trail around the Henry Law Park.

I had heard that the Dover bridge had been relocated, but we have found that it is not easy to find accurate bridge information on the internet.  So we went anyway, just in case they had put it back.

The covered bridge in Dover was a prefabricated and floated into place in 1996.

and taken down in 2010.

We are not exactly sure where it was taken to, so we took a few photos and jumped on the internet.

We found one website that said that the bridge was removed and placed on blocks outside of the Dover Recycling Center.  We drove to the DRC, but couldn't see anything.  Our goal is to figure out what happened to the Dover bridge. To be continued....
